Follow (a confusion about her solidity)

Ghost-writing is my perversion. I live to become invisible and it binds me entirely. I write through my clients … my own name is never published. Each of my books is a shrine to anonymity. I am not an image, I write for and on behalf of images. I am contractually bound to Diana, to be faithful to her image and never to dirty the waters by revealing myself in it. The diamond holds me there. A book for a diamond. The book is a diamond. Diana pursues ever-greater visibility; she wills ever more people to recognize her opulent brilliance, and to become like her. The book will bring her this. The book will bring her as many diamonds as she desires.
